Solar electric Panels are semi conductor devices that produce electricity when exposed to sun light. This conversion of sunlight to electricity occurs without moving parts, is silent and pollution free in its operation. The solar electricity fed through electronic equipment is converted to utility grade electricity for use directly in the home. The solar electricity can be used to offset the need for purchased utility electricity or, if the PV electricity exceeds the home's requirements, the excess electricity can be sent back to the utility, typically for credit. Solar Photovoltaic Panels are required in all Solar Products.

A photovoltaic (PV) or solar cell is the basic building block of a PV (or solar electric) system. An individual PV cell is usually quite small, typically producing about 1 or 2 watts of power. To boost the power output of PV cells, we connect them together to form larger units called modules. Modules, in turn, can be connected to form even larger units called arrays, which can be interconnected to produce more power, and so on. In this way, we can build PV systems able to meet almost any electric power need, whether small or large.

PV systems can be classified into two general categories: flat-plate systems or concentrator systems.

Flat-Plate PV Systems
. The most common array design uses flat-plate PV modules or panels. These panels can either be fixed in place or allowed to track the movement of the sun. They respond to sunlight that is either direct or diffuse.

Concentrator PV Systems . The primary reason for using concentrators is to be able to use less solar cell material in a PV system. A concentrator makes use of relatively inexpensive materials such as plastic lenses and metal housings. The advantage of Concentrator systems over Flat Plate is it increases the power output while reduces the size or number of cells needed.
